Anita Saarkessian
Anita Sarkeesian has been a Canadian and American feminist media critic for over 20 years. She's also an accomplished public speaking. She created Feminist Frequency the site with videos and guest posts discussing the depictions of females in popular media. Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian-American journalist and critic that has received awards for her work, is a feminist blogger. Feminist Frequency, a website for education that examines women's role in the narratives of pop culture It is the brainchild of Anita Sarkeesian. She also serves as the executive director. Destroying stereotypes about women are her main focus. But, she also discusses issues of specifically targeted harassment online against women and other minorities that have been excluded. Sarkeesian, who has a Master's in Political and Social thought in the field of social and political thought from York University, is a well-known public speaker. She has given speeches at the TEDxWomen festival as well as United Nations Broadband Working Group to Gender. When she was a student at the university, Sarkeesian became interested in the issues surrounding gender equality and the rights of women at an early stage. This ambitious woman planned to start an internet-based series on the gender roles in games and was then the victim of a harassment campaign online. But the assault did have been a hindrance, rather it only strengthened her resolve as a feminist media critic. She has won numerous awards in recognition of her many prominent contributions to the field of feminism.
