Lisa Edelstein was an American actor who gained notoriety as the star of Fox's House medical drama. After turning 18 in the year she moved into New York City from Wayne where she was raised according to conservative Jewish customs. She quickly became part of the scene of clubs in New York. Her shows were so good that even the local press took note. Then she used her experience along with her fame and training to write and compose an original musical entitled Positive Me as well as to appear in the show. She landed her first job at MTV as host of Awake on the Wild Side shortly after. She began to appear in television and film shows after the show ended. Initially, she was as a smaller role.
