Kathrin Romany Beckinsale, born 26 July 1973.[1][2][3] Kathrin Romany Beckinsale is an English actress from England. While a student at Oxford where she was a model, she made her film debut with Much Ado About Nothing (1993). Beckinsale has appeared in British dramas like Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), Shooting Fish (1997), and The Golden Bowl ((2000). In the latter part of the 1990s, Beckinsale began film work in the United States. After appearing in smaller-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (99), Beckinsale starred in Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2002), as well as Tiptoes (2004). She followed those with starring parts in The Aviator (2004) and Click (2006). All these films made her a main character in Hollywood.Since her role as Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has been a household name for her work in action-oriented films, including Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012), and Total Recall (2012). Her roles in dramas such as Snow Angels (2007) or Nothing but the Truth (2008) and Everybody's Fine (2010) continue. The reviews for her films were favorable for her two previous films. In 2016, she won high praise for her performance in the period-themed comedy film Love & Friendship, for which she was awarded a nomination for the Critics Choice Movie Award for the best actress in a comedy. Jolt (2021) was her second film. She also appeared in two television projects with The Widow (2019) and Guilty Party (2021).
